Subject:The events of Saturday happen in real time.
Time:9:33 am.

I did a little cardio before training chest and arms. I think the combination of running Friday and leg day made it so my legs were feeling the mode(mostly my ankles and shins) so I had to take it kinds easy.

After working out I went to Tinsel Town to meet up with Ben to watch Fist Fight. It was one of our "blind movies"(we pick a few movies a year to go watch without watching trailers or commercials). Fist fight was pretty funny. I find going in blind has paid off the best with comedies since they tend to have the funniest parts in the trailer.

After the movie I went to pick up some beer at Tony's and Brewniverse. I was needing to pick up a Russian Imperial Stout to drink during the Fedor fight.

Then I went back to the gym to attempt more cardio. It worked better than earlier. I'm looking forward to some light walking downtown Pokemon hunting Sunday. Should be a nice rest day but still with some exercise.

My night sucked. I planned my evening around watching Fedor fight, and after I was all the way back home and it was too late or too far to adjust I found out the Fedor fight was cancelled due to Matt Mitrione being a pussy. He was supposedly sick, I think they misdiagnosed being scared.

I trained legs today so only cardio I did was a little before legs to get the blood flowing. Instead of walking at a high incline I tried to do some running. Thank goodness for "For Whom the Bell Tolls", song is easy to run through.

There isn't going to be any after work cardio because me and the family have to go watch Lego Batman. But I'm supposed to go to the gym in the morning I'll get my cardio in and then come Sunday we're going downtown and walking about for a while doing some Pokemon hunting so that should be so fun light cardio.

I'm starting to get back into the groove of adding a bit of cardio into my workouts. It'll be an every day thing before you know it.

Finally found my scale, but between that and the 3 scales at my 2 gyms I've gotten 4 vastly different readings, and I tested 2 of the scales with weights and they are accurate. I'm either 290, 283, 260 or 255. Honestly though it's not about the number of pounds I weigh. It's about gainz and cardiovascular conditioning for me and a scale can't measure that.

I managed to get a little bit of cardio today. It was chest day, I had to cut it a bit short so I could do cardio.


I am getting better with doing cardio, it's getting easier to do physically. Now to just try to keep it from becoming tedious. I wanna try to average 15-20 minutes a day for 5 days a week. So about 75-100 minutes. Once I get to doing the cardio on the reg I need to step up my healthy eating. I am not eating as bad as I was recently,  but I'm far from eating clean. I'll get there, hopefully once my money gets better.

Subject:John Wick Chapter (spoilers)

So went to go see John Wick Chapter 2 yesterday. Figured I'd give my 2 cents on it. I loved the first one. Didn't catch it in theaters,  just assumed it was more stylized Keanu action stuff. Eventually  I bootlegged it, had it on my computer for a while and one day when Jared was over we watched it and I absolutely loved it because it was a throwback action/vengeance film with very well done action.

So I think JW2 is one of those cases of the sequel to a good movie being even better. Though it's kinda hard to say because they feel like 2 parts of the same movie. I had read that 2 takes play only 4 days after the first. Honestly you couldn't tell, it felt like it. Could've been the next day.

They tied up the loose ends with the Russians by having Reek's uncle in possession of the car, and it allows this film to start with action unlike the first. Plus we get Peter Stormare playing the same character he always play, Russian guy. They wrap up the story from the first movie and then set up the story for this movie.  I like how this movie takes something introduced in the first movie, him getting out of the business,  to propel the events of this movie. Really makes the 2 movies feel like 1. Was really glad the dog didn't die this movie. That's a beautiful pitbull, and so well behaved.

I loved how they fleshed the assassin society stuff,  Common and Ruby Rose were good in their roles. We got Darth Maul as the Sommelier. Some good Larry Fishburne action, but no Matrix reference.

Oh and the action, lots and lots of good action.  Better than the first. Good gun stuff, good knife stuff, and lots of hand to hand.

The ending left room for a sequel. I'm OK with a sequel or the prequel series they were supposedly considering. All in all the movie was about flawless. Great throwback action film.

I did more cardio this morning before work. Would've liked to do more, but had to get to work. My hip has been killing me the last couple days. I've just been doing slow speed, high incline. It's working, my lower back may feel it after a few days. Ever since a couple months ago when I slipped on some ice leaving home my lower back has been feeling the mode.

I caught the last hour of Pacific Rim at the gym today, so that makes Cardio easier to handle. Usually Cardio is so boring, but I guess I really need to start doing it again. I mean I love lifting weights, but I need a little more balance if I wanna hit my goals. Though when I have to travel 20 minutes too and from the gym I tent to wanna cut something out so a trip to the gym doesn't last 2+ hours every time.

More "progress" pictures. Still need to find my scale. You know the working out part is easy, I enjoy it, especially lifting. I mean cardio is tedious as shit, but sometimes I can do it. The hardest part is eating right. Between not having the income to buy all the healthier food I'd like to, and the fact that Wendy and Roz don't eat healthy (Wendy basically let's an 11 year old determine what to eat). So I'm gonna have to eat by myself and fix my own food separately. Time to step it up.

nepalunaris had a good idea for live journal. Since a lot of us aren't currently at fitness goals, but may be currently or in the near future taking steps to reach them we can use LJ as a way to keep track. We can give progress, take progress pictures and encourage each other.
